Hello. I have the X299 AORUS Gaming 9. I had 32GB of ram previously, 2x16GB DDR4 3000MHz. I'm trying to upgrade to 64GB. I just added two additional 16GB sticks, exact same make/model. Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 3000MHz C15, to be exact. I added the sticks per the manual. I have all 4 installed in sockets 1B, 1A, 1C, 1D. I boot up, still only 32GB. New memory isn't detected.

Thoughts?

And just like that I answered my own question. I neglected to read further in the manual. Right now I'm running a i7-7740X, which is a 4 lane CPU, so the configuration is different. Next week when I upgrade to i9 that will change, so I'll have to rearrange it again.

Fixed by a Win reinstall to UEFI. Old install was non-UEFI and I guess this was causing the problem. Still since F11 was working this proves there might be an issue with no-UEFI installs on F20 and F30.
