Found out what the problem was today. I was having some problems with my RGB riser in that the strips I connected were not displaying correctly. I thought it was the strips, so I cut and connected a couple different strands, and then it worked. I thought it was a bad strip. Then today, the same thing happened. I thought it might be a bad RGB cable, so I unplugged the RGB cable, and took a close look at the chips right next the the RGB header, and sure enough, they were smoked. One was completely melted, and the others show signs of burning.
It's the little square box chips/looking things right next to the riser itself.
This is the second Gig board I have owned in my life, and both went bad not even a year into it. I swear this is my last gig board ever.
