Great news! Is there any hope on running dual rank 2x8GB at 3200?
We also definitely need the option to bypass Fast Boot on next boot after power loss (which was included in previous GIGABYTE boards)
Also, Matt, can you hear me out? Do you have any information on the audio crackling that's haunting front panel jacks on X370 Gaming 5? From what I gather many people are experiencing crackling on the front audio panel. Is this something that can be fixed with software or should we RMA the boards?

Glad to hear memory compatibility is on top of the list. Some time ago you mention the system instability (or non-functioning) when set to high memory speed might cause by CPU instead (i.e. depend on silicon lottery), is it still the case? How could one identify the issue without having dozens of CPU on hand to try.
In layman's term, my memory kit is not working as fast as it should be, should/could I wait for BIOS update to solve the issue or should I sell my CPU now and reroll the dice?

Better Memory Compatibility would be great. My G.Skill F4-3200C14Q-32GVK is so close to working at spec that it isn't even funny with XMP. All I have to do is drop it from 3200 to 2933 under F5. All settings are correct and I'm not adjusting SOC...yet
Being able to shutdown and restart correctly would be a plus. Whenever I shutdown the PC hangs at a black screen forever and eventually reboots. When this happens my sound card stops working. I'm using PCIEX4 as you recommended before Matt. This isn't limited to a SoundBlaster Z discussed before. I now have a Powercolor HDX that is doing the same thing, but it sounds better and always detects after I power down the system by the button, unplug, wait a few minutes, and then power it back on. The SoundBlaster Z was hit and miss and a real p.i.a. Sorry, I didn't mean to ramble on about that.
See Above... Sort out whatever is haunting the PCI-E devices from detecting and working correctly. Maybe that's the IOMMU. Ability to Enable/Disable one or both on the On Board NICs
Advanced Memory Settings: I've always been able to tinker with more than just 5 settings. Not that I would, but I know some do. Command Rate especially. I know setting that at 2T instead of 1T would be a fix for people who use ram in all of the slots. I'm pretty sure I had to do that on my G1Assassin and UD5 x79 boards.

I would love an option to save and apply fan profiles between BIOS updates. It gets a little tedious to reset all my custom fan curves each time I try a new BIOS since the saved profiles don't work between different versions.
Also, on the BIOS Q-flash screen, it would be helpful if it was able to display which bios chip (main/backup) it was flashing to. Had a minor panic when I flashed F5 to the main, it bricked, then automatically recovered to the backup and I mistakenly flashed it to F5 as well only to see it brick as well.

I currently have the GA-AX370 Gaming 5. Hopefully F6 will allow me to run my CORSAIR Vengeance LED (CMU16GX4M2C3200C16R) RAM at 3200. If I enable XMP the system won't boot, If i manually overclock it will only go to 2933 which is what I am running now. Fingers crossed.

The soft-brick after sleep or several hours shut down (you need to remove the battery to get the motherboard to even energize properly) is a problem for several people on this forum. Given the gravity of it, I think you guys should prioritize it. It's strange not to see it being at least acknowledged, considering the amount of people complaining about it (just look at the K7 thread, for instance.)
I'm available to help you guys reproduce the issue if necessary.

To be clear: the workaround is removing the battery, waiting 30 seconds, and putting it back in. I saw one user recommending removing and putting back the RAM too.

I have 2 8Gb sticks of similar and they work as dual @ 3200, well atleast it reports XMP is active, 3200Mhz and Dual Channel in windows, the speed is 3204.8Mhz according to the EasyTune AdvancedOC section. i set it at 1.35v cause that's the rated volts, but it's usually lower then that
My issues with the same board are USB not always turning on with each boot/reboot Clock speed not showing correctly in stress test/Cpuz like tools etc. the Gigabyte Apps Bios/Tweak tools don't work at all. tho manually tuning through the AdvancedOC section works until you reboot then the bios setting kick in again
The bios is too basic period

Hi Matt, that's great news!
I feel that despite having the "K" in K5 and the BCLK overclocking, it is being left behind by the Gaming 5 in terms of updates.
As for features we'd like to see: · Fixed voltage settings besides offset mode. · Load Line Calibration. · More overclocking stuff! · Enabling or disabling disk drives from BIOS. · Cosmetics, like better layout, nicer graphics, dropdown options for values, etc.
Not asking you to bring it up to par with the C6 Hero, but there is much more room for improvement.
Can you please confirm whether any of these changes are coming to the K5 too?
As for features we'd like to see: · Fixed voltage settings besides offset mode.
Which voltage?
· Load Line Calibration.
This should be under advanced voltage settings, no?
· More overclocking stuff!
Yes, specicially memory timings and adjustments. Should have a new F6 BETA BIOS soon.
Enabling or disabling disk drives from BIOS.
I can add it to the wish list. Currently disable LAN/Audio is also on the list. Disable Audio should be in F6
Cosmetics, like better layout, nicer graphics, dropdown options for values, etc.
Honest answer: Probably not (at least for the foreseeable future). Right now the focus is 100% on functionality. IE: #1 Memory compatibility & Bugs #2 Features like P-State overclocking, IOMMU, etc #3 Features like disable LAN, Audio, etc
That being said if you got ideas I am going to our HQ at the end of the month to meet with our R&D, BIOS & PM teams. Shoot me a solid idea and I'll pitch it!
