I just recently got an x570 AORUS Xtreme motherboard running a 3950X.
I have SSD's for multiple OS'es (Windows, Linux, etc).
Additionally, I have a LSI Megaraid 3941-4i as shared storage.
The problem here is that I no longer see the RAID disk after upgrading the mobo BIOS, whereas it worked before.
The mobo came shipped with whatever BIOS was installed from the factory when I bought it a week ago.
Up until that point, both Windows and Linux were detecting the RAID array just fine no different than any other hard drive. I needed to change some BIOS settings to install the OS'es from USB, but otherwise, clearing the CMOS allowed me to boot, and I was able to see the RAID partitions just fine from both OS'es.
After installing Windows 10, I updated the BIOS from Windows using the @bios utility. The BIOS is now at Revision 5.14.
I can go into the RAID controller BIOS if i set "Storage Boot Option Control" to "Legacy Only".
From there, the RAID controller BIOS shows everything as healthy. No bad drives, no errors during POST.
When I run "lspci | grep RAID" in Linux i get "05:00.0 RAID bus controller: Broadcom / LSI MegaRAID SAS-3 3008 [Fury] (rev 02)".
When I run "storcli64 show ctrlcount" in Linux it gives me "Controller Count = 0".
So what is going on here? Can I revert the BIOS to a previous version? I do not recall which version my board shipped with. Will it make a difference?
