I flashed to the F12e BIOS yesterday from F11, and was initially excited about it. It was the first BIOS since X570 release, where Precision Boost and Auto Overclocking actually exhibited higher performance than stock clocks. Also for the first time, I had at least one core on each test actually hitting (and exceeding by 19mhz) the max speed of my Ryzen 7 3800X. Alas, that excitement did not continue when I tried to wake my system from sleep mode later in the day.
Under F12e when you try to wake the system from sleep, it initiates sleep recovery then immediately completely shuts the system down. It requires a full boot from scratch every time you try to wake the system from sleep. I initially tried to resolve it by re-flashing to F12e again, with the same issue continuing after reflash. I finally reverted to F11, and normal wake from sleep mode was restored by F11.
So alas, while F12e shows notable performance perks, the sleep mode bug is a deal breaker and I've had to stick with F11 for now. Here is hoping they find and squash the sleep mode bug ASAP, because F12e was the best BIOS to date aside from that issue. (I did submit a support ticket reference the issue).
