I am having this issue with my new Auros 299X Master, as far it goes on start up is A1 code, stand for A1 Issue reset during IDE initialization process. I check Memories, GPU, CPU 10900X and had no luck with it. Does anyone have any idea or do I have to RMA. Thank for any respond to this issue.

Does the system boot into your OS. If so this is a status code not an error code. It generally just means that its booting from the main bios and there is nothing to worry about. you might also see AA or A0. also normal. various other codes will show if waking from sleep and other things. all normal. its only a problem if the system will not boot.

I notice lots of viewers not much help, This is my first time buying Gigabyte, been loyal to EVGA, Forum and Customer Service is much better, no punt intended. This build is for my son. I have gotten no where with it. I ask for RMA ticket two days ago and no respond from Gigabyte service dept. Is it always like this?

fortunately that board has qflash+ which allows you to update the bios without needing a supported cpu. The instructions for using qflash+ are on page 95 in the manual, and I will attach a picture below for quick reference. You need to download bios F3g to support the 10900x, otherwise it will not POST. Bios can be downloaded here.
esupport tickets quite often take 7-10 days to get a response. the will respond eventually.

Did as per comment and no luck wouldn't post at all. Try several time flashing the bios as per info on manual, still didn't work. I guest is RMA, just got the RMA# from GIGABYTE, will be shipping today. Although I do appreciate you guys help on this issue. I have never encounter issue like this with new item, been building PC for 20 years. Is always the first time. Thanks again guys.

I am also having this issue. I'm unable to give a BIOS version as the system never starts the bios and no graphics signal is ever sent to the monitor. Motherboard revision is 1.0 (model: X299 WU8). All methods of bios updating require atleast having access to the BIOSs which most here do not have due to this issue which causes the system to hang before the BIOS starts up. I also have an i9 10900X. My system also seems to restart after being turning off for some reason (both front panel and the motherboard power button, the restart buttons act instantly so I'm definitely not confusing them).

I have also been seeing this issue but it is intermittent. 1 in 8 boots (turning the computer on from it having been powered off) will result in the A0 or A1 code and it does not progress further in the boot cycle.
Normally if I turn it off and turn it back on again I get past the A0 and A1 codes and into my OS.

andreigrum wrote: Feb 18, 2021 8:42:19 GMT -8 Fixed by a Win reinstall to UEFI. Old install was non-UEFI and I guess this was causing the problem. Still since F11 was working this proves there might be an issue with no-UEFI installs on F20 and F30.

I tried all F2x/F3x, same behavior. Even reset btn stops working, so I have to keep Pwr btn pressed 10 sec. Thanks in advance :
