It is nice to see some new posts here. I am going to add some information that may perhaps help in reproducing the situation discussed here.
For me, this happened twice so far, each time this was after the computer was sleeping for some 20 hours after some significant workload (gaming).
It took roughly 14 days before the second occurrence, all the while I've been putting the computer to sleep and resuming like I normally do. This issue does not occur on each sleep/resume, only once every so often, but each time this happens I can't use my machine when I need to which makes this issue painful. This is why I am reluctant to put the machine to sleep anymore, hasn't happened when booting from shutdown state (yet).
Hoping that the cause of this issue will be identified and fixed.
Just now I tried to wake it from sleep. It didn't respond to any of my inputs so I switched my mouse to a different USB port which accepted input. I said to shutdown PC which it did but it immediately booted up the system on its own.
This board has a ghost in the machine. I can't seem to get rid of it.
I tried every bios update so far ever released. The last bios update resulted in a boot loop which I could only fix by powering it off for a couple of hours.
I have no idea what to do about it anymore.
Since I literally switched everything else about the PC already I'm inclined to RMA motherboard too.

Add me to the list of people having sleep issues. My board is the X570 AORUS PRO WIFI and I'm on Bios F10.
My sleep issues is that when I attempt to wake the computer from sleep it will light up and then the computer shuts completely off within 2 second. I then have to press the power button and wait a long time for the computer to post (Gigabyte Logo).
This i quite upsetting and I'm also contemplating RMA.
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 RAM: G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series Model F4-3200C16Q-32GTZR XMP on Profile 1 but happens with XMP off as well.
Initially I had a problem with BIOS keep resetting at cold boot but i guess its partially fixed it for now by turning ErP on.
I also aware there is the sleep issue and so far have encountered 2 kind of these symptomps; 1. Computer goes to sleep, but when you want to turn it back on it's juts stuck there on sleep mode, similar to what original poster run into (Xceled).
2. Computer goes to sleep, but when you turn it back on it goes to boot loop state few times and then went back to BIOS (bios reset).
With ErP [disabled] (which is its default state), I got the the cold boot/bios reset/sleep issue, but with ErP [enabled], I manage to fix cold boot/bios reset, but the sleep issue still persist. The things is when going to sleep, it goes to similar state like when I turn off computer with ErP disabled -> cause of the issues.
Currently my settings in BIOS ErP [Enabled], and in Windows: Turn on fast startup [Unchecked] & Allow hyrid sleep [Off] which might help with the sleep issue, but I havent test it extensively.
Could someone with the "cold boot/bios reset/sleep issue" test with the settings above and report it here. Of course you could just turn off sleep for easy fix, but thats not fixing the real problem.

So I made some BIOS changes today.
I removed all overclocking so CPU is running at stock and XMP is off. I enabled ERP. I booted and computer and then put the computer to sleep. Withing 2 seconds I tapped on the space bar and the computer woke up. I then get a black screen and I have to wait a few seconds before I see the Aorus logo and then the Windows loading circle. Computer comes up and everything is up as it was when I put it to sleep.
No errors in event viewer now. This to me is extremely odd. As it seems to be working but the time it takes to wake from sleep and appears to be re-loading windows isn't normal to me.
On my other computers when I wake them from sleep I'm instantly back in windows within seconds. Why is the Aorus going through what appears to be a boot cycle? To confirm, I am putting the computer to sleep, not hibernation which it seems like what it's actually doing here.

Nope. Spent all morning playing with ErP settings. Didn't make a difference to me.
Even swapped in the RAM in my computer (corsair vengeance lpx). Same issue.
RMA'ing this garbage back to Gigabyte, buying the competition. Feel like returning my Gigabyte GPU just to show them my thanks for all their "support"...

Same issue here with a Aorus Ultra x570 and a Ryzen 3700x. System goes to sleep but is not resuming on request (keyboard or power button). System powers up (i see power consumption increase to regular idle load) but no screen and no network connectivity from other systems.
Tried Bios versions F10 and F11. Disable memory power down or auto settings, with or without XMP Profile. Happens with Windows10 and Linux.
Any hint on how to resolve or link to work in progress would be appreciated. I usually use sleep quite a log. Thanks!

Problem:
computer fails to wake up from sleep and seems to have shut down. This doesn't happen all the time. For example if I force sleep when I first start up it would wake up fine.
But every now and then after going to sleep on its own it would fail to wake up
So many people with the exact same issues across the whole X570 gigabyte lineup using all kinds of other hardware components.
I've used multiple memory kits, multiple processors, multiple graphic cards and this problem still happens ocassionally.
Is this a hardware defect or crappy BIOS ?
… or a bad user installation / setup. It's most likely option #3 and something wrong with the Windows install. I too had the exact same sleep problem and it turned out to be incorrectly installed chipset drivers. Running an X570 Master here 24/7 with zero issues.

As written above it also happens with linux so if chipset drivers would help it might be only half the solution as one would at least need to know what is special to enable a kernel fix/workaround.
Btw. on mentioning details it gets stuck in that weird state where cpu fan is 100% (so i guess post stage is not reached/ended even) Any hints or ways to supply more information for narrowing it down would be good.

How did you solve this issue? Did you use the wrong chipset driver, or installed at an improper time? Did you use something else besides what is posted on the gigabyte website? Please expand.
I've flashed bios to f11 (latest) and re-installed windows pro, updated all drivers (I installed the chipset drivers first - from Gigabyte website), and still have issues with the bios resetting and not able to boot unless I do a power cycle.
Thank you, Cross

Similar issues here. >50% of the time the system won't wake up as it's supposed to. Fans begin to spin at full speed, no video signal, power button doesn't respond (even a long press) and the BIOS has reset its settings after recovering by unplugging the power. I've tried pretty much everything. Re-installed Win10 twice; all latest drivers installed; tested on default BIOS settings too.
I also have this issue. I will put the computer to sleep normally, but it will not wake. Fans spins 100% as if it's waking up; however, there is no video signal output. When the computer is restarted, the BIOS settings are wiped (XMP profile disabled, fan curves reset, etc)
Super annoying GIGABYTE - this needs to be figured out.

I just tried out the F12a beta firmware. Still the same problem unfortunately.

andreigrum wrote: Feb 18, 2021 8:42:19 GMT -8 Fixed by a Win reinstall to UEFI. Old install was non-UEFI and I guess this was causing the problem. Still since F11 was working this proves there might be an issue with no-UEFI installs on F20 and F30.
