If I put the compute into sleep mode and then later come back to use it, I press a key and the computer looks as if it is about to turn on and then nothing. Looking at the board the system has the CPU light on and is stuck. Pressing the power button does nothing and the computer won't turn off.
I have to pull the plug and wait until all the power drains from the board before plugging it back in to get the computer to boot.
Anyone else having issues resuming from sleep? I saw posts about going to sleep but not resuming.

Running bios F7b? Can't be of much help beyond that suggestion as I don't use sleep at all.

I have the same issue on the Aorus Ultra X570. I have turned off all sleep settings. I literally tell the PC to never go to sleep. However, if I manually turn off the monitor when I am not in front of the computer it will never turn back on without a reset. I know it is not the video card because the card works fine in a A320 Motherboard from Gigabyte, which I was using prior to this upgrade. It would be great if they could fix this issue with the MB. I get an error in Windows display driver failed to start. Not sure what the issue is.

same here with F7b
Coming out of sleep it just goes into a constant loop cycle and need a hard reset to get going
Havent played around with BIOS to see if I could fluke a setting, easier just to power off
edit: went to just optimized defaults and it now works, then went and did XMP for 3600 memory and its still working.........boots a bit slower as fast boot is turned off
I'm having the same issue on Aorus Elite. Since my cpu is in another room I have a 50ft (active) display port cable to run my monitor. The cable works, but when I try to reboot, sleep, or even after shutdown, the system does not come back. I have to do a power cycle every time I want to boot up. I almost swear this didn't happen until I did a bios update to f5b. But, it's still happening after flashing back to f4. This has been driving me crazy and at least I found this thread with people with the similar issue (although no fix)......Maybe Gigabyte listens in on this thread?
Thanks all for any help on this!

A little more info on my issue: I have a 50' HDMI cable connected to a Samsung TV monitor also. If I disconnect the display port cable, the computer reboots as expected. So, definitely something in the long display port cable that is at issue. Is there a setting in bios that would fix this issue, like a switch for 'halt on error'?

Update: I noticed that the clock was not correct after booting into windows. I had set the date and time in bios......So I decided to replace the battery in this 2 month old MB. The computer is now working as it should; 50ft Display port cable is connected and I can put it to sleep, reboot, power on and off without having to unplug. Could Gigabyte just have a batch of bad batteries, or is this some kind of coincidence (because I was powering off/on, using a different ouput from video card etc)? The Elite mb bios is still flashed at f4.
Edit: Or, did the MB need the battery pulled in order to reset after bios flash?
UPDATE: After 3 days it's back to where I started. The only thing I did differently yesterday is I put the computer to sleep overnight (instead of using shutdown), and this morning I was not able to boot up without taking all power out and I'm not able to restart without killing power. And the time is not correct when I booted up. So is putting it to sleep running the battery out, or is it something entirely different? I checked to make sure all drivers are updated (I updated all these when I built the computer). I have not updated the bios back to the latest (I had flashed it back to see if it would help).
UPDATE: I've resigned to assume this is a problem with the xmp memory setting (after seeing others with this similar issue). I did check the battery with a tester and it tested out fine. Gigabyte? Are you there?
Another update; I was hoping the last update would be just that however, it was fine for a couple of days and then the mb reset bios on a reboot. Back to square one.......

Same thing Aorus Ultra x570. Has anybody figured out why this happens? I can tell the computer is on but the screen won't start showing again. I'm using the Display Port. It might not happen with HDMI.
I have the same problem X570 Pro board, Radeon 3800x, latest bios F10. Happens when trying to start after sleep. Cpu fan goes max, red cpu light on the board is on, there is no post. Above mentioned solution resetting cmos, taking out CMOS battery, unpowering the board and waiting some time for it to drain gets me started again.
It's a lot of pain, I am tempted to RMA the board unless manufacturer acknowledges the problem and is doing something to fix this.

I have to say that I have tried probably 100 times to recreate this issue on my x570 master since this post first popped up in september. I have tried just putting it to sleep for a few minutes, while I was gone during the day, and even once left it in sleep mode while I was gone over the weekend. It always wakes up. When this first started I was on bios F5e I think it was, now I am currently on F10c. Never had this problem. The only changes I make in my bios are to disable CSM, select my boot device if it isn't defaulting to the correct one, and then enable xmp but set the memory voltage and memory multiplier manually. Setting the memory this way I have not had any issues with cold boot or waking from sleep, and xmp never resets on cold boots. the only thing I have changed in windows is that I disable fast startup in the windows power options, and changed the power plan. I was using the ryzen power plan, then I used power saver for a while, now I am on the 1usmus power plan.
I am running 4x8gb of 3000mhz corsair vengeance pro at 3200mhz, and a 2700x with a 2080. I use 2 nvme drives, 3 ssd's, and 1 hdd.
I wish I could find a way to recreate this issue to help you guys, perhaps I need to reset the bios to defaults and see if it will happen.
