Aorus x570 Elite with stock Bios (because the other one won't even boot) gives me GPU error on startup (1 long beep, 3 short)
Removed and re-set the GPU and its power cable (though the power cable led was on so I doubt it had anything to do with it) and it went away.
Then it happened again, so I did the same thing.
Then it happened again today, and it fixed itself with a cold boot.
Never happened on my previous MB (x370 gaming k5) and gaming works fine, so I'm pretty sure this is just another initialization issue with the MB.
Not that big of a deal compared to everything else, but if anyone working on the new Bios' is checkign this thread it's worth mentioning in case it can be fixed.

Why would anyone fork out for an x570 board and slap first gen chip in it? Just go get a good x370/x470
Uhh, thanks for the feedback. Still want to know if it will work
Well then check the CPU support list. There are still plenty of issues that need fixing with brand new chips and chipsets. Really doubt first gen ryzen support is a priority, and with destiny 2 not working, the voltage and boost clocks and other issues with the new chips I honestly hope nobody's taking time to work on first gen support. Plenty of solid bug free options for that.

I have, it's not on the list. But it's working with the stock bios. So I'm curious about why it works with the stock bios, and whether they expect it to work with future bios versions.
To anyone from GB who might read this, I know it's currently not officially supported, and I'm guessing it won't be, but do you expect it to work with future bios releases? I'm not expecting a certain answer, just a guess.

Wow it's annoying when new tech comes out and people start whining about support for old stuff before all the major kinks are worked out with the new stuff it was actually made for Seriously, just go get a board actually made for it and stop wasting time in x570 forums. Like why are you even in this thread?
People who actually paid for it and are using it as intended deserve to be taken care of over someone who inexplicably wants to use an old chip on it even though literally none of the new features will work with a first gen chip

Anyways back to the actual thread topic, any word on the D2 fix or the voltages/boost clock fix for 3rd gen? Specifically for the master, but any news would be great.

Just curious, eh?.. It doesn't appear that it was an arbitrary decision to drop 14nm Ryzen 1 (Zen) from the x570 and the (rumored) upcoming B5xx value chipset-compatibility charts--I'd wager there are hardware/electrical compatibility problems with shoehorning Zen into Zen+ and Zen 2-specific motherboards with x570 & B5xx core logic chipsets. Certainly x470/x370 chipset mobos would suffice for Ryzen 1 compatibility, but that really isn't the main issue, imo. Main issue at hand is the EOL for Ryzen1 14nm. It's already here. Don't seem to be any reasons why Ryzen 1 (Zen) will do anything now except to die on the vine, eh? It's been replaced by better products. And there isn't much left for Zen+ @ 12nm save for the fact that AMD has engineered Zen + compatibility into the x570 chipset & socket design! My recommendation would be to buy an x370 or x470 motherboard, slap a Ryzen 1 into it, and use it until the cows come home..and then buy something new relatively new... Still should give you years of use at rock-bottom prices.

You realize you're the only one whining, right? I asked a question of why a first gen chip works when it's not supposed to and whether they expect that behavior to continue, and you're losing your mind about how I'm taking up their precious time they could be using to fix your issues. I didn't even ask for something to be done for my specific case, I asked IF they expect it to work with the way they already intend to develop it.

I bought the 570 to upgrade to 3rd gen, but it turns out that it works with my 1800x, so I thought I'd ask if they expect it to continue to work. If that turns out to be a no, I'll probably go ahead and get a 3rd gen. Thanks for the feedback though <3

does anyone have the bitspower or EK monoblock for this motherboard? Is it worth the money?
intender wrote: Jan 19, 2021 11:55:39 GMT -8 lima567 this is a windows 10 20h2 issue. I had the same thing on one of my computers. I was never able to get logged back into my account on that PC. I moved that drive to another computer and copied over all data I wanted to keep and did a clean install.

sozehh wrote: Jan 16, 2021 10:58:58 GMT -8 joeym ofc i've done it, signed and trying to spread the petition, gigabyte do your work please and add resizable bar for intel 300 series, it is not an old product, people like me spent 800 euros on aorus xtreme, don't tell me i have already an outdated mb

desaccorde wrote: Jan 15, 2021 0:50:15 GMT -8 300 Series MUST be supported, no other way. MSI supports it. They may think they're pushing their customers for a premature upgrade, but guess what? Even if I upgrade, I wouldn't buy a Gigabyte board. Me and all my close friends will never buy Gig again.
johnyb0y wrote: Jan 14, 2021 4:58:11 GMT -8 @gigabyte, I've personally built with half a dozen of your boards and recommended you at least 5 times last year. This will stop if you screw Z390 users with not supporting Re-BAR.*
