Hey All,

I am nearly done building my new rig:

Motherboard	Gigabyte Z170x
CPU	Intel i7-6700k
GPU	ASUS GTX 1070 8GB
PCU	EVGA 600w
RAM	2x Ripsaw V 8GB DDR4
HD	Sandisk 120gb SSD; WD Blue 1TB HDD
CASE	NZXT S430

I want to know of some games I can get to test out the new build. Currently I have Total War: Shogun 2 and Empire: Total War.

I was thinking maybe Rome 2 but other than strategy, I wanted to get something that will really shine. I have an LG IPS 27UD68-P monitor coming in as well. I was thinking maybe Battlefield 1. I was thinking BF1 for my PS4 but I used to play BF1942/BF2/Vietnam/BF3 on my old PC so maybe make a shift back to that.

There's been some backlash about the DLC for Warhammer Total War - but aside from that the actual game is pretty amazing if you like RTS.

With that setup, how could you possibly think of getting BF1 for PS4!

Also, check out UT4 - its completely free. Its in Alpha but very playable right now. They have a few maps completed and they look fantastic. Should be butter smooth on that rig.

Nice build. Similar to the one I have planned except i opted for a 500gb SSD. How about crysis, farcry, gta?

I think I read this post every day and when I get home I totally forget to check it out. I'm setting an alert in my phone to remind me to get it later. Also I think I'm going to make the return to PC for BF1. I played 1942, Vietnam, bf2, bf3 all on PC. Mine as well go back now.

I know that this thread is a few months old now but I've really been enjoying "Playerunknown's Battlegrounds" $30 on steam and it looks pretty good. It's early access so there are bugs and it is not that well optimized but it does play decently well and is tons of fun especially if you play in a party. I'm running a z270x Gigabyte Gaming 7 motherboard with core i7-7700k, 16gb corsair vengeance lpx 3200mhz ram, Gigabyte/Aorus GTX 1080 Extreme Edition graphics card. While playing 1440p/highest graphics settings I run in the 30-40fps (the game is being actively worked on and the poor optimization is something that the devs are working on). Once they get the optimizations for the game down I would thing it should easily hover around 60fps. Also on my build I have not OC'ed anyting, the fps figures that I gave to you were based off all stock/default clock speeds for everything on my system.

Crysis 3, Doom, Overwatch, BF1, Witcher 3 are probably the most common and there are some other games to show off performance of a system. It's amazing how old Crysis 3 is yet still so demanding. Ghost Recon Wildlands is pretty demanding as well!!!

Fixed by a Win reinstall to UEFI. Old install was non-UEFI and I guess this was causing the problem. Still since F11 was working this proves there might be an issue with no-UEFI installs on F20 and F30.
