well, it is almost December and we still have this broken bios... i really like this MB x370 G5, but i like to use its full potential and not this unfinished version.

Yep, I ear the new "agesa" doesn't have any improvement... only has for compatibility purposes.
Hey, was wondering if there's any info about a 1.0.0.7 AGESA BIOS?
Other vendors appear to be rolling out betas right now.
Seems other vendors are rolling 1701, whatever that means. Imagine Gigabyte being slow because they want to release a bios with ecc working, p-states adjustable and AMD chipset options not blocked..

Soooo CRAP.
It has at least one important improvement I've heard: The 15.5x multiplier bug is fixed

Hopefully, Gigabyte will unlock some features in the BIOS such as P-State on the Gaming K5 for example. It's more than capable, it's just Gigabyte has locked it. The Gaming K5 is also capable of Load-Line Calibration, but Gigabyte has not added this feature. Terrible if you ask me, especially for a X370 board.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news -
After alot of discussion I do not think P-states will be added to any new X370 boards. There are modded BIOS out there you can play with, but you do so at your own risk. In the end it wasn't something we were able to properly incorporate into the first AM4 chipsets. If you study the progression of P-states you will see many manufacturers implemented it - some even made software for it - then semi-abandoned or removed the feature from alot of boards... That being said your guys feedback/asking for it has put it on our radar for new development cycles.
As for LLC it is not possible on the K5. The K5 does not have a (physical) driver to be able to manually manipulate LLC. Its more of an "analog" output (IE fixed based on inputs, not adjustable on the back end).

One last thing on new BIOS - it should appear on the main downloads page Friday before here as I believe it will be a full production BIOS. It may even appear thursday (taiwan's friday). Just a heads up for those with itchy F5 fingers.

Thanks for clearing that up. In that case, is Gigabyte able to develop a P-state utility for Windows?
If I overclock via Ryzen Master, the CPU will still downclock at it's idle speeds. The only inconveince of this is that I've got to launch the program at every reboot to apply my overclocks profile.
With the new AGESA BIOS, can we expect better stability with memory overclocking or XMP rated speeds?
