Hi everyone,
Just want to also mention I am still having 2 issues that are very irritating that have been constant from the day I got my board a while ago:
1. My Sound Blaster Z is sometimes not detected on startup. I generally do cold-boots (PC being off for a while). When this happens, I have to shut down, switch off the PSU, attempt to turn on the PC (to drain any stored power), then switch on the PSU again and startup. After this the sound card generally gets detected again.
2. After every boot (even if I shut down recently), on first boot my PC gets stuck at the very first Windows logo after the POST, when Windows 10 loads. I either have to restart when this happens, so on 2nd boot it boots into Windows 10 perfectly, or on first boot I have to immediately go into the BIOS and then Save & Exit, after which it loads Windows perfectly.
I also really hope any solutions do not involve a board replacement...
I know the first problem has been mentioned a lot, but I have not really seen anyone mention the 2nd one specifically, so any advice on this issue is greatly appreciated. Other than that my 3466MHz Corsair RGB RAM seems to be running fine at 3333MHz after I increased the voltage, so I am happy I got lucky there.

The second problem happens to me too, but it happens after loading the desktop and not so often, it just freezes and restarting fixes the problem. before bios updates it was happening more often but now its like once in a week or 10 days.
If you are having an issue with your soundblaster card being detected I believe we have a fix. Unfortunately it looks like it isn't a simple BIOS issue. Please submit a ticket to technical support. They will be able to assist you with an RMA (if needed).
For the soft brick issue we are still not able to consistently reproduce the issue. If you are located in the US please send me your ticket number so I can have technical support flag it and contact you directly.
Can you please elaborate on what the actual fix is and what the problem was/is with the Sound Blaster Z?
I also believe that you need to post and sticky this on the forum as people seem to have already skipped over your post and this issue has been documented by multiple people on various AM4 motherboards. I would recommend listing the Gigabyte Boards that are known to have the problem with the corresponding Sound Blaster Cards, but what do I know...
It still seems as though Gigabyte is trying to sweep this issue under the carpet instead of owning it. A little transparency would be good here and may earn a small amount of trust back.
I reported this within a week of launch on the Gaming 5, March 13th to be exact, and it's just now being resolved in some way shape or form after 5 months. I'm waiting to hear back from support as to what that actually is now.

The last AGESA code allowed for up to 4GHz DDR4 to be selected and set, so I think the push is for 3200+ MHz ram is already there on AMD's side. And the fact that vengeance LPX 3200 seems to be running on literally all other vendor's motherboards at its rated 3200, seems to point towards it being a vendor-specific issue, at least with this particular kit. The last AGESA code was already heavily focused on getting hynix-based DRAM working at its intended speeds.
I've asked the BIOS/validation teams to take another look at corsair LPX 3200 and see if we can fix it on the next BIOS.
I just joined this forum to point out that I did have had some success getting the Vengeance LPX 3200 CL16 to run @ 3200. For those interested my settings are below. This is on a Gigabyte ax370 Gaming 5 with Bios ver. F6 AGESA 1.0.0.6
XMP set to Disabled Timings 16-18-18-18-36 Geardown Mode Disabled Bankswap Disabled Command Rate 1T DRAM Voltage 1.43v CLDO_VDDP 880 Proc_ODT 53.3ohm
Other Notes: XMP Profile 1 setting has worked for me though only at stock cpu settings, with an over clock I got BSOD instantly. Overclock settings are:
1700x @3.9Ghz | VCore 1.4325v | SOC 1.2000v
System passed AIDA64 stress tests, Prime95 Tests and several Cinebench R15 runs with an average score of 1710.

To the soundblaster Z card issue. Does this mean they reproduced it and know it is a hardware issue? So when I RMA the board how I get a guarantee that I get a working board after that? I mean I dont want to change the board 3 times in a row or so. As you know a mainboard change is quite time consuming...

That is my concern too, thanks for pointing that out. I remember you reported the issue a looooonnnng time ago with the result they finding out that all of these boards are defective. I think it raises some more questions because almost every board seems to be affected from B350 to X370 and Gaming - Gaming K7... very weird.
The big question is do I get a working board after that directly from Gigabyte or do I have to do that over my hardware store. That would cost me probably weeks of outage until they check the old one and send me a new one.
Hi Matt, can you be more specific on this issue? How can we verify if your boards are affected? If my onboard sound dies after the warranty will GIGABYTE take care of me if no other external sound card work with my K7? Now I'm a bit scared thinking it is a hardware bug...
The issue isn't any sound card, its specifically the Sound Blaster. Haven't heard of people having issues with any others. The problem/solution was identified by US, AMI, and Soundblaster working together.
Sorry If the problem was identified, but then what's the fix for the soundblaster to recognize?

Hi Matt!!!
Health and long years for you.
Vital necessary! Need option to enable / disable OPCache in the BIOS. Some Ryzen processors have a bug with mOPcache. As workaround need disable mOPcache in BIOS. Gigabyte ax370 gaming K7 (and other) does't have this option.

Finally after a month of tinkering with my Corsair LPX 3200mhz, able to find a stable 3200mhz OC I'm using Gigabyte AB350 G3 F7 bios. 1.4v, vsoc 1.15, 16-18-18-18-38 timings, 2T.

Well, this is the response I received from Gigabyte's Support regarding my Sound Blaster Z when I reacted out to them as GIGABYTE - Matt had suggested...

Question:
Per this post on the Gigabyte US Forums, I'm supposed to contact you due to the unresolved issue with Sound Blaster Cards and this board. What is the fix/solution? It refuses to detect correctly and detect correctly to install.
This was posted on the Gigabyte US Forums by one of your people.

The only way for us to validate 3rd party add-on cards, it has to be tested on our end, from there we'll have to forward to our corporate team in Taiwan in order to implement the support on our board's Bios.
Do you think you can proceed to send in your card?
Thank you.

So, is this a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing, or is this Gigabyte's solution to the problem? How in the blue hell is sending in the Sound Card itself for testing going to help, when the problem has already been identified by Gigabyte, Creative, and AMI? I'm going to continue the conversation with them and see where it goes, but I'm not sending in the Sound Card.
GIGABYTE - Matt, Can we please get you to elaborate on the findings of the identification of the problem and then the potential solutions? I really think you need to create a new thread and sticky this info so people know what to do, but again, what do I know... It's not like people have already skipped over your solution post and posted additional questions or anything like that.

To me it happens something similar but exactly it is not with any SoundBlaster, and it is with my captor of video elgato HD60Pro, I connect it in the PCIEx 1x and 4x it does not detect it in any way, however I connect it in the PCIEx of 8x and detects it without any problem. I have a PCIEx 4x SSD in M.2 NVMe. Remove the NVMe SSD as it shares the 4x PCIEx bus and was still not detected by the motherboard. I have a Gigabyte Aorus X370 Gaming 5 and only detects it on the PCIEx 8X port the other PCIEx ports is as if they did not exist.

Do you know what version memory you have.... 4.31 or 5.39?? It's usually on the label.
