Hello everyone,
I purchased the named board along with G.Skill Ripjaws 4 - 2800 Ram, which I can't get to work with more than 2133 MHz. And now I am looking for reasons and saw, that the VCore SOC is at 0,7V. What I have read so far, this is fairly low and might be a reason for RAM instabilities.
Am I right? Or what else can cause the instabilities?

Are you sure this is correct? You should not be able to boot at that voltage. Most people are running SOC at least 0.9v. The AMD rep who did a talk said if you have memory stability issues you should set it to at least 1.1v.

Thanks for every hint!
P.S. My CPU is an R5 1600.
You should consider bumping it up, and then trying higher frequency. Also if needed, add some extra V to the RAM itself too.
I have my HyperX Predator at 2933 with XMP2 profile 2, and my SOC goes auto from 0.85V to 0.9V.

Pretty sure I have the same kit. Mine runs at 2933c14-15-16-15 @ 1.32v vDIMM (not sure that's absolutely necessary, but doesn't hurt). SoC is set to Auto, but I don't think it's that low. Bump it up a bit.

Hey, thanks for your replies. I am sure about the VCore, at least about that what I can see. I attached a screenshot. Btw, my Bios is F6 and it makes now difference if I set it to "auto" or "normal". Could it be a bug?
Edit: Okay. I set the VCore SOC to +0.3Volt (Maximum) and have now 1.0V. I am now able to set the RAM to 2666 MHz but don't know whether this is stable.

Well, the settings are stable. But as I wrote, I am only able to push the VCore SOC to 1.0 Volt. And I would like to know whether this is a bug or defect. In the later case, I have to reclaim the board. So please Gigabyte, tell me what's wrong?

Hi thebaer. Can I suggest you try Ryzen Master from AMD? I found it way more intuitive than the BIOS.

Hi BitCrusher,
I already used it but it doesn't solve the problem. I need a SOC Voltage higher than 0.7V to even boot up, so I used to use the bios settings. Furthermore, Ryzen Master doesn't take into account the bios settings. For example, if I add 0.1 V in the Bios, the system starts with 0.8 but Master reports 0.7V. If I set the voltage to 0.8 using the Master it adds further 0.1V and I end up with 0.7+0.1+0.1=0.9V. Totally strange....

andreigrum wrote: Feb 18, 2021 8:42:19 GMT -8 Fixed by a Win reinstall to UEFI. Old install was non-UEFI and I guess this was causing the problem. Still since F11 was working this proves there might be an issue with no-UEFI installs on F20 and F30.

I tried all F2x/F3x, same behavior. Even reset btn stops working, so I have to keep Pwr btn pressed 10 sec. Thanks in advance :
