z490 aorus master + 3090 asus tuf + Seasonic 1000W all of them new :

Error Application Popup : Event ID 56 : ACPI 2

I hard stressed my computer but i Don't seem to have any crash (tested with prime95 and 3dmarks). Maybe is it related to bios i was looking no forum and asrock z170 got that problem but diseapear after a bios release. Please gigabyte help Don't want a random crash going on...

Hi,

The "hammer" approach would be to do a clean installation of W10 without installing any third party software then retest.

Are you using the NVIDIA RTX 12 pin power cable on your RTX 3090?

I have the same problem with my new system gigabyte z490ud , intel 10600 , vga gtx1080. Application Popup Event ID 56

any solution? i try everything... bios updates , driver update.... clear bios cmos , remove gtx 1080, memtest is ok....

I have put only 8pin power to cpu, do you need and the second 4pin to be okay? my power supply no second 4pin conector for cpu..

Hi,

I checked with Seasonic a couple of weeks back and they have the 12pin RTX cable which will supply more power. They are no longer free. That might be worth trying before going with the "hammer" approach.

Check with ASUS and see if the 12 pin RTX cable will work.

no crash! everything seems to work fine, just throwing this error at the event viewer in every launch of windows.

What did i do :

- turn on intel integrated graphic card and remove my asus rtx 3090 : error event 56 ACPI 2 on startup (so GPU not faulty)
- replaced my PSU with another one : error event 56 ACPI 2 on startup (so PSU was fine)
- reflashing BIOS + clean windows install (without any gigabyte drivers) installed only windows and divice manager updates : error event 56 ACPI 2 on startup after the clean install i had couple of them i think 4-5 then all of them dissapear after all the driver was installed by windows update or by the device manager except one.
- I removed one of my SSD sanddisk 1to and the error was gone except when i reboot the PC if i turn it off then turn on no error but if i reboot i got an error : all of this without the ssd installed
- removed all my usb device : error on log on

I think : Maybe a device on the motherboard is not correctly installed or maybe one of my nvme driver...

Want another stable bios from gigabyte to check if it's also a bios faulty

i did what you say with ssd but i didn't see any effect. All that remains is to try a power supply that connects both the motherboard and the 8pin and 4pin. Ι read in a forum that it solved his problem but i don't have a power supply to try it right now. If you do, let us know...
