Hi, I recently got a new PC (by parts, mounted by me) and I'm using AMD Ryzen 5800x and Aorus Elite x570:
I had to return the RAM I bought because it was faulty, so I got this new one, also from GIGABYTE:
They're actually only two modules, the other two are only RGB. So I installed them (only the two real RAM modules, not the RGBs only) and enabled XMP profile. After that, the PC rebooted itself three times then booted into Windows with RAM speed at 2660.
I tried a few things but it seems like it refuses to run at 3600. It works if I set it to 3200, but anything higher makes the PC reboots 3 times then put the RAM at 2660.
Tried on channels A1 + B1, A2 + B2 and each module separately on A1, always with the same results.
It seems weird to me since mb and RAM are not only from the same manufacturer but also from the same series.
I'm on latest BIOS, f31. Other than trying to enable XMP, all other settings are the default ones.
I've read that maybe there's a settings I need to manually enable, but, even if that's the solution, I wouldn't know which.
Other than that, this mb should be able to run this RAM at 3600 without any issues right? Both modules on dual mode, I mean.
Please tell me if you need extra info.
