I have used this custom water cooled computer for 3 years, mostly running work units under BOINC \ World Community Grid but have change to run [email protected] during the last year with no problem until now.
Now when I try to start the computer I ended up with a black screen, same result after resetting CMOS I tied booth the method by shortcutting the 2 pins and by removeing and replacing the battery. And I have also trying to run with only 1 memory stick, I tried several different sticks, but the problem remains.
The configuration is the following…..
Motherboard: Gigabyte X399 AORUS Gaming 7
CPU: Threadripper 1950X
GPU: Palit GForce RTX 2080
RAM: KVR24E17S8/8 is a 1G x 72-bit (8GB) DDR4-2400 CL17 SDRAM (Synchronous DRAM), 1Rx8, ECC
PSU: Corsair HX1000i
When I turn on the PSU all the LED’s on the motherboard lights up with a short white flash and then when the computer is turned on the following happen…
1. From the beginning of this the red Memory status LED in the upper right corner of the motherboard lights up and stays on for 1 second and then turn of and now the red CPU status LED in the lower left corner of the CPU socket lights up and stays on for 1 second before it turn of again and now the whole process starts over again and continues in the same way seemingly forever but now that behavior has changed to the following.
The red Memory status LED flashes a short time every second and the CPU status LED is shining with a steady red light.
2. The Debug LED Codes cycling trough the numbers and stops for a short time on 65, 48 and 92 and this is going on seemingly forever.
Either the motherboard or the CPU seams to be broken or maybe both.
I guess this is a longshot but Is there any way I can find out exactly WHICH part is broken in this case?
