Just updated to F31H bios on my x570 Aorus Elite with 5800x CPU, and my audio is constantly clipping and distorting, unable to listen or watch anything. Any suggestions, or should i flash the old bios back?

I have the same problem but with onboard sound card and the latest bios F31h, reverted back to F31e and the problem is gone. I suggest you to open support ticket as me.

If you're curious as to what is causing it, it's the IF not getting enough voltage when OCing or turning on XMP. Reverting to the previous version should fix it, but upping VDDG, SOC and VDDP voltages can fix it too.

IF is the Infinity Fabric, which may get OC'd if your XMP has a high enough MHz, as designed. For whatever reason F31h doesn't seem to deliver enough voltage in some manner when everything is on auto.
AFAIK XMP/RAM speed above 2133 is considered OC (please correct if different for ryzen 5000).

Its not that, and XMP is OC for the RAM, not the CPU, and XMP basically means that the RAM manufacturer guarantees this OC (similar to GPU partners who release OC GPU versions), however this does not mean that the CPU will support it, but AMD has announced that Ryzen 5000 is compatible with up to 4000 ram, this was cleared by AMD and this is not OC on the CPU which drops your CPU guarantee. There was a great debate about it as one company shipped all their PC's without XMP enabled, users became angry and then Intel and AMD both stated that XMP does not drop your CPU guarantee as this is not considered OC on the CPU.
The sound problem with the today bios 31J, has been fixed.

Well updated to 31L and the problem reappeared.
I noticed that when with 31J, the CPU clocks all cores to 4450 while with 31H and 31L it goes to 4550, also made a test, disabled XMP on my Trindent Neo Z, and the sound issue is gone on 31L.

does anyone have the bitspower or EK monoblock for this motherboard? Is it worth the money?
intender wrote: Jan 19, 2021 11:55:39 GMT -8 lima567 this is a windows 10 20h2 issue. I had the same thing on one of my computers. I was never able to get logged back into my account on that PC. I moved that drive to another computer and copied over all data I wanted to keep and did a clean install.

desaccorde wrote: Jan 15, 2021 0:50:15 GMT -8 300 Series MUST be supported, no other way. MSI supports it. They may think they're pushing their customers for a premature upgrade, but guess what? Even if I upgrade, I wouldn't buy a Gigabyte board. Me and all my close friends will never buy Gig again.
johnyb0y wrote: Jan 14, 2021 4:58:11 GMT -8 @gigabyte, I've personally built with half a dozen of your boards and recommended you at least 5 times last year. This will stop if you screw Z390 users with not supporting Re-BAR.*
mezzer wrote: Jan 14, 2021 2:23:19 GMT -8 This will be my last gigabyte mobo if there's no resize bar support on 300 series.
