Hello everyone, I bought an I9-10900X with a X299 UD4 Pro, do any of you fine tweaker gurus know if it will run 4x8 (32GB) G.Skill Trident Z Royal 4400mhz ram?
I just bought the motherboard because it said it supported 4400mhz (O.C.) but after looking deeper into it, I found only the 16 lane cpu supports 4400mhz and the 44 lane cpu that I have supports 4200mhz of 64GB.
However on G.skills website, they said the mobo only ran as high as 3600mhz when they tested it so it would need a bios update to support higher frequencies of their ram.
I assume this CPU can handle 4400mhz, I owned an I7-8700k that I ocd to 4133mhz with a 3866mhz stick of trident z.
Both CPus run at 4.3 on all cores.
If for some reason the mobo doesn't support that speed, can someone make an official bios update to support it or at least a modified version people can download?
Thanks.
