Ok so installed the bios updates and followed the instructions for the f42 bios.
Installed BIOS Update, EC Firmware and chipset
now my cpu is stuck at 0.54 at boot or it will start normally then proceed to rapidly decline down to 0.54Ghz.
no matter if i clear cmos settings, powerdrain, use backup bios (also F42).
CPU: Amd 1800X (never overclocked)
Mobo: Gigabyte X370 Gaming K7
SSD: Sata and NVME - Sata as boot drive.
Ram: Gskill Trident Z F4-3200C16Q-32GTZR
Windows 10 1903
Running water cooling from Corsair (heat not a issue plus its really cold here atm).
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1080 Reference
Any help in getting the system back to normal would be greatly appreciated.
First time really having significant issues with Gigabyte products
Flashed back to F31 lets see how that goes.
older firmware revision flashed as well.
Still dropping down to 0.54Ghz and staying their only now it does spike up a little now and then for no real reason.
Watching the multiplier going up and down like crazy.
uninstalled ryzen master (not using) and the latest chipset drivers.
reverted back to F25 and still having the same issues.
Going to try disabling any power saving features etc. doubt it will fix it.
