GA-AX370-Gaming Rev 1.1
AMD Ryzen 3 2200g
Corsair Vengeance LPX (2x8GB DDR4-3000MHz CMK16GX4M2C3000C15S) FYI: Passes memtest without any errors @3000 or 2666MHz.
The problem: Randomly fails to post at all upon cold boot or reboot (ranges from twice in a day, to going 2 days without issue and runs Windows/games fine until boot/reboot). I get power lights on, and fans sound like they are "pulsing" or cycling up and down a bit, but black screen, no BIOS/UEFI, no error beeps, nothing. I have to force power down and unplug for a while and try again before finally getting to a "BIOS has been reset" message (backup BIOS) an being able to get in and reflash, reconfigure everything...rinse, repeat.
EDIT: Removed wall of text I had typed about things/BIOS versions/RAM timings I tried to fix this. What I have learned though, is that it is triggered/caused by inserting any bootable (possibly non-bootable too) USB flash drive, resulting in corrupted/crashed BIOS and wiped out MBR on flash drive (no longer bootable). The board is junk. The End.
Forget it...sent this stinker back for a refund and switched to MSI B450 Gaming Plus, and that has been flawless, XMP profiles, bootable USB drives, and all. GG Gigabyte...not.
