My P57W laptop suddenly started going to BIOS on power on, and exiting the BIOS loops back to starting the BIOS again. It never boots. It is supposed to have a 256G SSD and a 1TB HDD. I looked at the SATA devices, and I only see the 1TB drive. I don't have experience with SSDs. Do they present themselves to the bios as SATA devices? If so, mine is missing, so what is my next step? I bought the laptop in March of 2016, so the warranty is expired, and I'd like to just open the case and reseat the SSD drive. Is that a good idea? Also, what if the SSD drive is indeed dead, what would my next steps be? And finally, if anyone can think of any other information I can add to help figure out the problem, please don't hesitate to mention it.
Update to info
I re-read the specs and saw that the SSD should be an M.2 PCIe SSD. I looked at the BIOS 'Offboard SATA controller configuration" settings and it said "No PCIe SATA controllers / PCIe SSds are Present"
