I purchased XPG (now ADATA) DDR3 2133 PC3-17000 8GBx2 RAM for my GA-X58A-UD3R rev 2.0 Motherboard with an Intel Core i7 930 Processor running at 2.80 GHz. I've tweaked the memory multiplier to 12x with 9-9-9-24. Speccy reports that the RAM is running 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 800 MHz. However, the Windows 10 OS is reporting that the Speed is 400 MHz in Task Manager. Am I running this RAM at the fastest speed I can without overclocking? I've read on other places that 800 MHz in a tool like Speccy that is running Dual-Channel DDR3 is really running at 1600 MHz. Is this true? If this isn't true, how can I tweak the settings in my bios to get a faster speed? I'm a novice at these things and any help is appreciated.
