I recently upgraded to the 1151 socket family and for my first choice, I chose the Gigabyte Z170M-D3H. This little board was amazing. Did everything I needed it to. The Dual BIOS feature that comes on the Gigabyte boards is very handy. However, I ran into an issue. I simply did not have enough PCI-e slots to facilitate the expansion cards that I needed. So I stopped at my local MicroCenter and came upon a Z170X-UD3 in the open box section, I did not want to pass this up. I snatched up the board and for the last few days, it has delivered solid performance. I have never had a motherboard that has BIOS code read out right on the board itself, and this really came in handy when the system wouldn't boot initially. Found out I had the RAM seated in the incorrect slots. I have to do more testing, but I will probably always choose Gigabyte for my motherboard. I had one for an old AMD build I had and it was a very solid performer as well. Should this board fail (as it is an Open Box), I will be returning it and picking up a Z170X-Ultra Gaming motherboard. Fair and away, the best and easiest to use motherboards I have ever had. If only i could afford the PSU to accompany the rig, then I would be in heaven. Lol. Keep up the great quality work.
